Treats, Mugs, and Bubble Wrap?

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year...if you've been around me the past week you would probably think I feel otherwise.  I do throw out the occassional "vomit" - but honestly, even if I'm not the one receiving the flowers or candy, it's still kinda exciting.  There is sorta that feeling, like love is in the air and anything can happen...it's sorta a magical day.  Now ask me that again tomorrow night, ha.

But, in the meantime, I wanted to share with you two very important reasons why I love this Hallmark holiday...Lifesavers Gummies with cute little "hug me" "kiss me" comments...and they are yummy.  Also, my second favorite the BEST Little Debbie cakes of the year!!

Even though I don't have an official Valentine this year, I wanted to make something kinda cute.  Since I talk to my friend Rob every day, I decided he needs to be my Valentine!  Here's the kicker though, Rob lives in LA.  I've seen these mugs a million times, but I was so excited to actually get to make them!  I spent all evening Sunday drawing, baking, thinking of song lyrics to go on the inside, and packaging to get this little gift to Rob in time for Valentines.  I'm so nervous, it arrives tomorrow - and I'm praying it didn't break.  I bubbled wrapped it to death...fingers crossed.  But I'm super pleased with how they turned out!

Now, I have a feeling these aren't going to be super durable. I couldn't find the glass/ceramic paint to use, so I used sharpie markers.  Then I baked on 400 degrees for 45 minutes.  I'm still scared to use mine.  But it's on my shelf.  Ok, maybe this is a little corny for a guy - but hey it's Valentine's Day, and I threw in some Peeps in for good measure, because who doesn't love those!

I hope everyone has an awesome day...I'll be drinking wine and eating Cheese Whiz with a handsome old friend, so I'm actually pretty pumped!
