Get Inspired & Leave The Cryin' Behind

Apparently I've been hiding out - I'm kinda embarrassed that it's been so many months since I last posted. And I'm sure that was also a dating rant of some sort. Well, I'm out of that "pitiful me", Taylor Swift boy bashin', John Mayer cryin' nonsense. I ran into a friend over the weekend who asked if I still blogged about food. He said he really enjoyed reading about all my little adventures to new little restaurants around town. Bless his heart - he inspired me.  Turning this ship around - let's get back to what makes me happy (all y'all reading this blog) - let's talk about Lexington, let's talk about food and projects, and let's talk about fun stuff!

First item of business for this Sunday evening - I needed to get my desk area ready for all these posts I hope to be cranking out.  Before I had a small IKEA desk that I put together.  It wobbled and it shook and let's face it, wasn't going to make the cut.

So I've spent the last couple of weeks, really perfecting this space.  Because this space is where I'm going to be inspired, excited, and ready to share some amazing stuff with you.  My parents brought my Great Grandmother's kitchen table down for me to use for a Mother's Day brunch.  I asked to keep it, because I can't think of anything better.  I quickly turned around my little "writing nook" into a place that I love.

Get excited, because I'm hoping for a fun summer!  And with fun summers come lots and lots of good posts!

  1. Yay! Glad to see a post from you sissy :) And hooray for using Grandma's table!

  2. Ran across your review of Habanero Loko on UrbanSpoon and that led me here. :) Always nice to hear what places you've tried out and what we need to put on our list to tru. If you haven't already tried it, you need to try Blue Door Smokehouse on Walton. Best BBQ in town (and if you ask me, it's not even close). Look forward to reading more often!
